How much does professional organizing in Prosper cost?

Everyone’s home, organizational needs, and situations are unique. Therefore, there isn’t a one size fits all approach to estimating the cost of your individual organizing project. No matter your needs we have a full-service solution that is right for you! After our initial consultation and assessment, we map out a plan of action, including estimated hours and pricing for your project.


Do I need to purchase the supplies ahead of time or will you?

Southern Roots Organizing offers full-service organization which includes the option to have us do all the shopping for you! Our organizers work within your budget to try to achieve your overall aesthetic. We bill you for the time we spend planning and procuring the supplies but charge you the actual cost we pay for any items, including passing along our trade discounts we receive from our suppliers!


How does the process work?

The first step in the process is to book a complimentary phone consultation to discuss your goals and timeline. After our phone conversation, we will schedule an in-home consultation. Occasionally due to time or distance, we may conduct this meeting over a video chat. During the in-home consultation we evaluate your space, take photos, and measurements so we can best determine the best action plan to meet your goals.

After our consultation, we will provide you with a proposal that will outline the scope of the project including projected conmpletion time and cost.

Depending on the scope of your project, your individual needs, and goals, we will sort and purge your belongings, looking for ways to maximize space, providing storage solutions and labeling your belongings as needed. 

Then it’s time for the BIG reveal! The most exciting part is when we welcome you to your newly organized space! We walk you through the organizational layout and explain WHY we have chosen specific areas or methods of organization for your spaces. Then we provide you tips to help you maintain the spaces. 


What should I expect when hiring a home organizer?

As professional home organizers we help you overcome clutter and disorganization. We provide compassionate, confidential, hands-on help to bring organization to all areas of your home or office. Our organizers will access your spaces and seek to understand your needs, then we will get to work on a customized plan of action to help you reach your organization goals. Once we agree on an action plan, we schedule your project date(s). Our team will arrive on your scheduled date with the action plan in hand and prepared to handle every detail from beginning to end!  Our goal is to help you declutter your space and to create spaces that are intentional, inviting, & organized!


Will you clean my house?

We will tidy up the general area and wipe down the surface of the areas we are organizing. However, we are not cleaners and we do not do any type of washing, scrubbing, or deep cleaning.


How can I prepare for my home organizing project?

Most of our clients do not do anything to prepare for their project. However, if you would like cut down on the cost of your project, we do encourage a pre-purge of the space prior to our team’s arrival. If you have already gotten rid of things that are expired or you know no longer serve you, our team can focus on sorting and organizing the things that matter most to you.


Do you install shelf liners?

Shelf liners are a great way to protect your cabinets and dishes as well as help keep surfaces clean! We work directly with a manufacturer that offers premium shelf, cabinet, & drawer liners. These premium liners are custom cut to the exact measurements of your spaces. We will install the liners for you prior to organizing your spaces.


Do I need to be involved in the process?

That depends on what your goals are for your space. If you need a good purge and declutter prior to organizing your space, we do recommend that you spend some time working with our organizers. If you don’t want to be a part of the process, we can sort and organize everything and will set aside anything that is expired, broken or seems like it no longer serves you (think things like nearly empty shampoo bottles or pacifiers from when your teenager was a baby). This way you can quickly look through items and determine what stays and what goes. Rest assured we do not throw away anything we feel you will still need or see value in. 


Do you take away donations and trash?

We will haul away one load of donations per day or session depending on the package selected. We do not haul away any garbage. We will put trash in bags and place them in your garage for easy disposal on your next trash day. If you have a large project, we can give you advice on businesses to contact to arrange disposal of larger amounts trash or donations.
